Yep! Ironically, all the widgets I placed on pages before the update have remained active. You can edit and/or remove them, but can’t put them back.

That is kind of what i figured, I’ve noticed other pages still have it though.

I was waiting for this comment, haha. ;)

With Facebook’s last major update about a month ago, this nifty little trick stopped working. You can still add a custom page this way, and set it as your default landing page, but the ability to place it in the sidebar has been compromised.

I noticed this shortly after it started happening. I’m working on a work-around before I update this video.

If you’d like, subscribe to get my update when I release it. Thanks!

Thanks for the instructions Nate, I’m a having a problem though. At 2:00 in your video, where you clcik the pencil icon on the box, there is no pencil icon available for me, it tried a bunch of times and I know you have to hover over it for it to appear, whats going on?

    Hi Evelyn!

I believe the Static FBML is by Facebook. If you’d like to contact the development team, you can simply go to the Static FBML page mentioned in this video and toward the bottom-left you’ll see “Contact Developer”. You could also try the Discussions tab on their page for help. :)

    Best,

    Hi Nate,
just wondering if you know who developed the app? I’d like to get in touch with them to see if there’s a way to get the widget above the fan box.
    Cheers,
    Evelyn
