Gary refers to businesses. Sure you don’t have to update your twitter or facebook. But if you don’t, you will lose out to your competitors in the long run.

He’s a bit too strong for my liking

and I’m not too sure about what he says about “No Privacy” and “people will know what you’re doing 24/7″. Twitter and Facebook only updates when you go onto Twitter and Facebook, so if you really DON’T want to update those, it stops the whole process

but I (reluctantly) agree with him. I know people with split personalities and they’re starting to bleed into each other with help of twitter and facebook

I absolutely agree with you Gary. In another video you mentioned being able to argue form both sides of an argument. A person is interpreted to be inconsistent when he/she offers conflicting opinions on different days. The flip side of that is speaking with 100% conviction on a matter you believe in, which has exception or flaws.

Keep v-blogig on new media. Your perception on this topic are thought provoking.

He means directly, in your day to day life, in REAL LIFE. Not on the internet. What he means is that the internet will enable anyone to take anything they got on you and make it known. No more contradictions from presidents like bush, without someone making a blog that shows video of him saying the opposite just a year before…

More anonymity then ever! So true. But thats a good thing too! Because fake religions like Scientology have to deal with the ‘Anonymous’ people who work to expose them.

I guess if you’re Britney Spears or Michael Jackson, you have a point. But more most practical applications, you couldn’t be more wrong. I could troll some blog as SuperHotMoma4356, and it would never likely effect my “real” life (granted, it would be debatable that I’d have one). The Internet has made a lot of things transparent, but it also allows for a far greater degree of anonymity than ever before.

Good point…I just don’t know what I want to be to the world yet…I guess a little bit of everything…serious, fun, silly, all business, all play. :)
