    thanks for clarifying that. I am a blogger so I would have preferred more mention of it. But I agree that the same principles apply :)

    thanks for your comments… I did however mention blogging/social bookmarking in my point (be smart with your time)… and even though I talk about social networking mostly… these principles apply to social media on a whole… social networking just happens to be in there a lot.     also, I agree with the comment that this is more of “social networking” that “social media” because blogging, etc was not mentioned. At any rate – the 8 points are still helpful.

    This is a great video.

    I don’t know how I feel about the Facebbok, Linkedin, Twitter combo as “must haves for using social media effectively.” Why? Because social media marketing is not a one size fits all strategy.

    But be yourself, thank others for inspiration, great content, etc. is all extremely important.

    I think this is more of a “How To Use Social Networking” instead of “Media” since there’s nothing about blogging, bookmarking, video sharing, etc.
